Baby Wiley
At Austin Area Birthing Center, we don’t just provide you with very attentive prenatal care and a natural birth for your baby. While beautiful birthing is our specialty, we also work hard to create a community of informed parents who share one another’s birthing and parenting experiences.
Here’s a perfect example. Baby Wiley was born at AABC on May 4, 2013, along with three other very healthy babies. The fathers were not only able to very actively share the birthing experience with their partners; they also celebrated with the other dads in the center. Because they’ve all been attending Centering classes at Austin Area Birthing Center, they’re now friends and allies in the interesting and sometime daunting world of parenting new babies.
We love our families at AABC, and we love that they’ve become friends and built their own circles of friends. If you’re looking for that kind of connection in your life, come in for a tour and let us show you what a happy community we are!

We love all our families at Austin Area Birthing Center! It’s especially interesting when international families find us and entrust us with the care of Moms and Babies. Here are just a few recent births we celebrated with parents from other countries:
This is Tobi from Nigeria with Baby Selma, delivered in April 2013 by Roswitha, Meg, Charlotte and Cat. Her husband is currently working in Norway.
Meet little Josephine Inge. Her Mom is from New Zealand.
Here’s little Gil, our latest international baby whose parents live in Mexico. Mom Cecelia (who is one of 5 girls herself), was assisted by Midwife Jennifer and Assistant, Cat.
On April 12, Victoria and Chris, both from England, were assisted by English midwife, Charlotte, in the birth of Baby Hazel Florence. Afterward, all three drank English tea!
